Like an idiot, when I created the Decision/Choice system, I forgot to reserve any names to allow me to extend or do special things in the future. So I want to backtrack and do that now. I could just make an arbitrary choice, but I'd like to avoid breaking existing stuff if I can. So has anyone written a timetable containing a decision or choice name beginning with any of these characters: ! $ % & ( [ { # @ / ? ~ Log in to reply |

Yes, several timetables, but as far as 'Decisions' go I haven't used any of the characters you've listed in there names. The '$' symbol is the one used for UIDs & when activities such as Joins, Divides & Next workings etc etc.

None of mine contain those characters in decisions.

I've used the dash such as in 1A01-1SX but nothing else Vince I walk around inside the questions of my day, I navigate the inner reaches of my disarray, I pass the altars where fools and thieves hold sway, I wait for night to come and lift this dread away : Jackson Browne - The Night Inside Me Last edited: 15/11/2017 at 13:19 by VInce Reason: None given Log in to reply |

Not used any of them as a starting symbol (or as any other part of the text) as far as I can recall. If I have it won't be a major job to change things so no significant impact for me. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

Thanks for the input. I've chosen '[' as the reserved character, though there's still time to change it if that's a problem. It's only reserved if at the start of a decision or choice name.
