Now available here. This is a Sunday timetable for the Piccadilly simulation, which should be easier for single players to operate, with traffic on Windsor Bridge and Oxford Rd panels substantially reduced. For those who want more of a challenge, there's the option to simulate Sunday morning possessions and use the included add-on timetable, along with running with delays and failures. Additional splash screens are included for the MP and MN simulations; these can be copied to the relevant 'Simulations' folder if you want them. They're all shots taken 'on the ground', and captions are in an accompanying text file. Description This is a Sunday timetable for Manchester Piccadilly, based on 17/12/2017. The timetable starts at 07:00, and runs to 01:30 the following morning. The Simulation should be run in 2016 mode. This timetable should be easier for a single player to run than the weekday timetable. Players who want more of a challenge can introduce late running, include the add-on trains and simulate the morning posessions of Piccadilly throat (see last section). A few compromises have been made, one because of the track layout simulated, the others to help solo players: Compromises *The Ordsall Chord opened in December 2017, and has an hourly service which runs to Oxford Road on Sundays. As the simulation does not include the Chord, these services have been omitted. The three ECS services booked to use the chord have been timetabled to run via Salford Crescent, but have not had any extra time allowed for this move. *In December 2017, the frequency of trains via Atherton doubled to half-hourly in the day, and an hourly service continued late into the evening. As an aid to single players, the pre-December 2017 service level has been used in the basic timetable. The additional services are available in the add-on timetable. *On the day, additional trains ran between Marple and Piccadilly (in passenger service towards Piccadilly until early afternoon, then in passenger service towards Marple), presumably for Christmas shoppers. These are omitted from the basic TT, but are included in the add-on. Other Notes *Bolton station area was re-modelled in August 2017, although the full layout was not available. The UPL and DPL at Burnden Jn were lifted, as was the link line containing MP635 and MP672. All trains to Wigan and Preston were using the new Platform 5, which can't be used by trains from the Lostock Jn direction- to represent this, lock the facing crossover immedaitely ahead of MP638 in the Normal position. *The line from Bolton to Chorley/Crow Nest Jn is under posession from around 22:00; an engineering train runs to Lostock Jn. Add-on Timetable To play with the additional services, start this timetable as normal then go to Timetable-> Open (Merge with current) and select "Manchester Piccadilly Sunday 2017 Add-on Traffic". In addition to the services mentioned above, there are some shunt moves at Longsight included. Service Pattern: Service levels are generally reduced from the weekday provision, and take a good while to get going- the service isn't at its full level until around 13:00. Down Fast blocked from MP42 to MP305 inclusive. Up Fast blocked from MP302 to MP35 inclusive. Additionally, the Up and Down East are normally scheduled to be blocked from 12:00- 13:00 between Ardwick Jn (exclusive) and Manchester Picc East Jn, however data from Real Time Trains suggests that this possession didn't happen on the 17th- trains are shown to have used platforms 1 and 2 between these times, which would be inaccessible. I've finally had the chance to download this and am thoroughly enjoying playing it through so far (only at 0754 so far) with the merged TT. With regards to that, I'm having a bit of trouble with the SHNT trains that run from MP 39 to the neck and back into the maintenance roads. It calls saying waiting at buffer stop - is it then a case of simply saying 'please reverse'? I did that with the first one and it then kept waiting for the RA. I've read the manual but it's not entirely clear what to do - is it a case of calling in for the slot to be released from 13 / 26? Log in to reply |

If you go into the schedule for SHNT and set the stopping position at Longsight Neck to 'Far End Exact', that'll cure it. MP39 and MP36 have opposite locking omitted for the route to/from the Neck; you can leave them set up in this position all day, cancelling them only when an ECS move to the south rings up for permission to enter. The slot isn't required to clear MP36, only for MP13/26. "Don't stress/ relax/ let life roll off your backs./ Except for death and paying taxes/ everything in life.../ is only for now." This is such a great timetable :), currently at 10:11:24 and s**t has just hit the fan as 1N58 09:29 Manchester Airport - Preston required a driver change at Oxford Road, which made it 19L now its at Deansgate and needs a fitter so isn't expected to depart until 11:00 so going to have quite a stack up of trains

Version 2.0 of this timetable has now been released, available here: https://www.SimSig.co.uk/File/Details/1082 The timetable has been updated to work with Version 2.0 of Manchester Piccadilly, and should be run in 2019 mode. At the time, Northern were operating an hourly Oxford Road- Leeds service via the Ordsall Chord. These services has now been added to the timetable, however as I don't have access to the schedules, timings are extrapolated from the arrival and departure times at Oxford Road. Note that Platform 4 at Bolton was closed for refurbishment works at the time; all trains should use P5. As it's a Sunday timetable, traffic is quieter than a weekday, so this timetable should be more manageable if you want to run with ARS turned off. If you want more of a challenge, details of the weekly possessions in Piccadilly throat are included, for you to implement if you wish. An add-on timetable is also included, which has some additional trains which ran that weekend. I haven't tested this after making the changes; please post any issues below. I never played the original TT so can't comment if this is a new issue. SHNT - longsight MP39 - neck - longsight enters but reports "at buffer stop" when entering the neck and as a result requires a manual reversal. "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply |
