Hi all, After living in the past to work for nearly a year on Peterborough 1977, this is as up-to-date as I'm going to get. Huddersfield represents a good basic sim and I thought it would benefit from the 2017 treatment as it closed on January 21st this year so this is the last summer timetable worked by the box. I started it yesterday and it will be a six-day timetable - all workings taken from WTT with additional engineering train movements. I plan to offer a 0001 start and an 0400 start. Most freight workings occur overnight although I don't think it could be called busy between 0001 and 0400 but its certainly more interesting. Hoping for release in around 4-5 weeks time. Whilst there is a lot of work going on both from developers and timetablers with regards to the the new "mega sims" I felt it important that the newcomers and those who operate on their own are not forgotten. I don't expect a huge take up but I found the Huddersfield sim a very good way to learn how Simsig works and I hope the newcomers and single players feel the same way. No criticism intended, but its my view that Simisg does appear to be moving away from sims that are challenging but can realistically be operated by one person and I'm not sure that's a good thing. Experienced as I am in railway operation, there's no way I would get any fun out of being overwhelmed by, say York, Manchester or Birmingham. I want to work at my own pace and not be influenced by others of greater or lesser ability, so the single player game is for me and, I would suspect, quite a few othes. Those have been followed by Peak District and Newport, which again are single-player friendly. If anything, I'd have said the trend was quite the opposite! I had the impression that it was a few years back that mega-sims like the Victorias, Wembley ML, etc., were all the rage. The recent releases have shown a wide variety in terms of big and small.
