Thanks for that, as long as I manage to get Myself to Haymarket for 22:30 Then we're all good. Plenty of trains up from Preston for that.

Or maybe I was just checking out the handover for trains to/from the Motherwell sim for a 2009 TT along with the supplied 2006 TT. Or maybe there's a new Cumbrian Coast sim on the way that needed a bit of research. Or maybe there's a new G&SW sim on the way which again needed the handovers checking. Or maybe it was checking the consistency of the coal and empties TTs to/from the various Ayrshire loading points for a 2009 Paisley TT.

Anyway, back to the TT I am currently trying to get into suitable state for release. . . .

Indeed. If there is one then it will be ready when it is ready but there is, I always say, never any harm in a bit of speculation!

If I was proved correct then another thing I wouldn't mind seeing with that would be a sim to cover Blackpool North and Blackpool South plus the lines through Kirkham & Wesham etc. from which the lines to the Blackpool termini extend. I would hope for options for AB or TCB as well as pre-2018 layout or the current layout if such a sim ever came to fruition. Just like other sims on my personal wishlist (Doncaster, Yoker IECC, etc. etc.)

You could probably save yourself a lot of effort if you just listed the sims you didn't want to see as a once-and-for-all rather than adding a new round of speculation every few weeks! It would also probably help the developers who do all the hard work as they then wouldn't need to spend any time on the black list.

I don't have such a list. I have a few that I would really like to see (of which Doncaster is one as it would fill the gap on the ECML) but I always appreciate the amount of work and time that goes into the development of the sims and so I am always happy with whatever comes along: I have all the sims in the book and look forward to those which are coming late in the year.

And if the meet couldn't get any better I can now confirm the following...

Though not planned for release in the near - medium future, Preston and Warrington will be the two meet simulations. Depending on progress Manchester Piccadilly may join the chain, or we may run a third completely unrelated simulation.

For those who have asked about the bus from the station to the railway...

Buses will run on the hour from 11:00 - 22:00 from the station to the railway.
Buses will run on the half hour 11:30 - 22:30 from the railway to the station.

That all sounds very interesting: pity I live the wrong end of the country for Preston otherwise I would be there. I wonder what the third one might be.

Will screenshots of the sims used be provided for those of us unable to attend (assuming they aren't ready to release)?

That's great news and it's a shame I can't be in God's county on Saturday.

For those developing the two great WCML PSBs, may I put in pleas for eras beyond the obvious 2015 one? Specifically:
Warrington PSB including the Sutton Oak link from St Helens Jn (a busy line in the box's early days) and the Haydock oil branch and original layout south of Wigan which made life rather harder than now.
Preston having the early layout with single leads at Euxton Jn and the Longridge branch.

I'll also happily volunteer should any testing resource be required.

Both simulations are already 3 era enabled (1980, 2000, 2010) although some details still to be fully researched/implemented.

The 1980 era will represent the PSB as initially commissioned (1972), including:-
WN - St Helens Jn/Sutton Oak line, Haydock Bch, all sidings Ince Moss/Bamfurlong area, Newton-le-Willows sidings, single/double lead jns at Winwick, Golborne, Dallam gds Yd;
PN - 3 layouts at Euxton Jn, 33 GFs(!), changes at Lancaster, Colne branch x 3, Bare Lane x 3, Deepdale Bch.

I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

Was hoping for a 2018 Post May Era which would be the same as 2010 era at guess but adding in electrification for Up/Dn Fylde Line but still this sound very interesting

Aye true, but it's nothing to worry about. I mean I did have a Summer 2018 timetable that was going to work with my Carlisle Summer 2018 timetable but hey.

Anyone that can confirm where about will the buses be? Side entrance at Butler Street where all the Rail Replacements are or at the top end of the station at Fishergate Bus Stops?

Hopefully me and Craig (Hap) should be on 1100 bus, if Craigs TP Service gets in ontime at 1046.

The bus service leaves from the stops on the station side of Fishergate. Go out of the station up the ramp. The stops are at the top.

Sorry, but I won't be there - my plane landed at Minneapolis-St-Paul about 3 hours ago and I'm stuck here until Monday evening.

See some of you at Didcot next week, though. (Still no Advance tickets last time I looked.)

Warrington and Preston in use - both in an advanced stage of development with only a few bugs which discovered. Both look like excellent sims, and will be immediate purchases for me though no estimated release dates were given.

Good to put faces to usernames, and the beer was decent as well!
