I realise that there will be soon an update to the Peterborough sim due to the problem of signal 329. So i thought it was a good time to mention the unsusal behavior of signal 399.
At every other signal in Sim Sig. The following sequence occurs. The train passes the signal, the description jumps to the next section and then the signal changes to Red. At signal 399 the signal changes to red before the description jumps. There is a delay of a few seconds before the description jumps.
Attached is a screen shot of the display 1B10 has just passed 399 at speed and the signal has changed to red.
It is not an important issue, but it does cause heart palpations :-)
Is the proximity of the frame in the next section the cause of this unusual behavior?

Though I can't comment on this specific case, it's not unheard of if the signal has a separate track circuit for the overlap on the ground, but it's shown as a combined track on the panel.

That is indeed the situation in this specific case.

There's no technical reason why it couldn't trigger as the train moves into the overlap, but this makes more sense in terms of likely feeds back to the train describer. Of course, if Network Rail would stop claiming that they don't have any information about the inputs to the TD, I could answer this for certain.
