I am currently playing the Oxford Winter 2016 TT while I get used to Oxford as its not a sim I've played much before and for some strange reason whenever I get this message: Up Worcester Train Approaching Wolvercote Junction the sim plays my verbal announcement which is Train Ready to Start!

Before anyone says but did you accidentally set up the sim to do this, note 1. I only use that verbal warning for what it says it does and note 2. No other sim is affected.

As far as I am aware, I am playing the latest version of SimSig and the latest version of Oxford so wonder if anyone could throw some light on why this happens please?

Likely that the TRTS style message has been used for that particular annunciatior.

EDIT

Having just run the sim it's definitely using the TRTS message.

"Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer

In reality there is a treadle to signify when a train is nearing Wolvercote junction because the track circuit is very long and the signalman would otherwise have to guess.

This is replicated in the sim, and is what you're seeing.

Basically a buzzer that goes off when a train is at a certain location
