Hello, Im new to the forum and I have bought Hunts Cross in the game. I have 2 computers, one at home (PC) and a Laptop for travelling. How can I get it to work on both computers? Do I have to pay twice? Thanks Log in to reply |

You only need a second license if you want to use the sim simultaneously on both computers. Otherwise, you can remove and re-allocate a license as often as you wish, so as long as you remember to remove the license from your home PC before you go travelling, you're good to go.

It'd be difficult to assert that two machines, even in the same network segment, weren't being played by different users. Plus you can only really control one mouse at a time. I've recently proposed a new "readonly" client mode for just this situation. Jamie S (JAMS) Log in to reply |

This topic has been discussed at length on the forum before, so there is a lot of material to read should you wish to look for it. I'm writing on a phone so don't really have the patience to search and link. Each purchase is for one licence, which can be allocated to one device at a time. This has always been the case since licencing was introduced. To move a licence between devices is a simple task using the licence manager, but you cannot allocate your licence to more than one device simultaneously. This is to prevent fraudulent use of the software, but a side effect of this necessary protection is that any user with more than one device either has to reallocate to switch between the two, or purchase additional licences. Echoing what Steamer and Bugsy have said; but I would have thought you just want to hook up your desktop monitor to your laptop to get both it across two screens and allocate / deallocate the licence when you need to. If you buy a second licence you would then need to set it up as if you were going to play a multiplayer game and you yourself be host on one computer and client on the other, otherwise you would just have two different games running at the same time on each computer / screen with no interaction between them Log in to reply |
