Does anybody has the same problem with me? There are no signal post displayed on every sim on my computer. It get to be quite confusing which signal point to what direction without the signal post displayed. Have already tried to tweak the setting on F3 menu, but none fixed the problem. I'm running on Windows 10. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Log in to reply |

Oh that is odd, you also appear to be missing the arrows used for exit buttons and lines used for rendering tunnels and boxes. As a first step, check that both SimSig.fon and SimSigv2.fon are present in the directory C:\Windows\Fonts. If either is missing, try reinstalling SimSig. Log in to reply |

I have also reinstalled Simsig, but the problem still exist. Is there a possibility to obtain the fonts and install it manually? Log in to reply |

On the attched picture is what the fonts maybe listed as under windows, the default for windows now seems not to display the .fon file but the fonts that each .fon can display As you are able to start the loader and load a sim it seems unlikely that the fonts are missing, as if SimSigv2.fon is missing the loader won't start (as discussced here). Still the problem existed. Missing font is now out of the question. Also tried reinstalling SimSig with antivirus/windows defender turned off as suggested by the thread. However, still missing the signal post. Log in to reply |

To check whether it is something specific to your hardware or software, can you post a saved game so that someone else can load it and see if it renders correctly. I've looked at the .fon files, and Regular is not the name but the font style: not bold or italic. I guess the Windows font viewer is just causing confusion here.

Run the "charmap" utility (enter that into the search box in the start menu) and select SIMSIGv2 in the font box. The stem characters should be obvious (charmap uses hex, so they are 0x80, 0x81, 0x82, and 0x83). If there are lots of gaps, please post an image here.

Can you also confirm, your language, and region settings? Control Panel > Clock, Language and Region > Language Control Panel > Clock, Language and Region > Region "Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer Log in to reply The following user said thank you: adlian |

I've just spotted something and I'm going to make a prediction. If adlian runs Peterborough and looks at Biggleswade sidings, he'll see the points next to "G.F.'A'" are missing. But at Sandy the siding points are shown as straight (just like on his Brighton screenshot). The B-to-B link at the left end of Peterborough station will be missing while the signal box symbol at the right end of Peterborough station will have a panel with no box around it. The three green boundary lines and the boxes around the signaller berths should also be missing. If so, something is causing his system to not display characters with the top bit set. I have no idea what. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: adlian |

Hi everybody, I've finally found what the problem is. I ran the 'charmap' and found that the 0x80 character and beyond are blank. So I checked on the internet and found that the one causing it was the "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support" was checked. Deactivate it, and the problem is solved.
