One of the main new features of Loader 4.11 is the ability to covert a single player game into a hosted session, and also end a hosted session and continue as a single player session. It also allows you to change the sim to a different port without reloading. This option can be accessed through Multiplayer > Network Control "Passengers for New Lane, should be seated in the rear coach of the train " - Opinions are my own and not those of my employer Log in to reply The following users said thank you: BenWright, tjfrancis, jc92, NCC1701, y10g9, JamesN, Trainfan344, 9pN1SEAp, BarryM, Temple Meads, flabberdacks, ajax103, Hap |

Will it be possible in the future to be able to save a multiplayer simulation whilst you are connected as a client?

That might be a little harder. It’s complex but in layman’s terms the client isn’t running the simulation, they’re just sending inputs/receiving indications from the host so has nothing to save as such. It would be very expensive in network traffic to pull all the necessary data to save the simulation; and given the host would have no control over it you could potentially cause issues for people hosting on internet connections that are data-capped. This could easily result in clients regularly being dropped - Especially with large sims with a lot of trains, such as New Street and London Bridge. Log in to reply |
