Signalled 6E17 from the DPL to the DSS using 81>89>96>124.

6E17 has stopped as shown in the image, and has shown in my messages as stopped at at S89 (plus a phone call) - but also as can be seen the route is cleared. The signal is proving, and when I cancelled the route I got an adverse change of aspect even though the train is shown as stopped at the signal in the train status list.

EDIT: Just gone back through my messages, it appears I asked the train to examine the line when responding to a call (must have mis-clicked) - but the train hasn't called back and is now just calling about the red signal. The train refuses to pass the signal at danger using the phone option, F2 menu and F11 debug menu.

There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway.

6E17 at S89; it had called up at this point and I'd authorised it to pass the signal with no movement from the train.

Has S89 failed? Not all shunt signals have lamp proving.

That would explain why it won't move if instructed to inspect the line (but not pass at danger)

No, I checked that in F11 and it was showing as working normally - the train was also shown as stood at a red signal, not an unlit one.
