I don't seem to be required to grant slots to Barnsley - the roundel flashes as a train approaches, but if the line is clear is is automatically granted and cannot be cancelled. I've just had to let an early running train through because the slot was granted as soon as the train ahead cleared the section, despite there being an opposite-direction service waiting at Penistone.

Is ARS on? If so that's your answer. It will have routed the train towards Penistone before the Sheffield bound train has entered the sim. Might be best for ARS to not set the route from Penistone until booked time. "We don't stop camborne wednesdays" Log in to reply |

This is still happening in the latest release - the slot from Huddersfield at Clayton West Jn is being auto-granted with no input from me. No ARS, 'Standard' difficulty setting and 2019 WTT. There's the right way, the wrong way and the railway. Log in to reply |

I just tried - it doesn't, unfortunately. It's not a huge problem on a low delay scenario as you can just set the route in plenty of time using the simplifier to confirm no trains are due - but it's posed problems on delay TTs as it sends trains from Huddersfield despite me trying to send one from Penistone - it comes down to whether the sim grants the slot or I can set the route first. Collaring BY1054 should prevent the slot being given. Only a work around but should help.
