I'm playing the excellent 4-day September 2014 timetable created by Vince, in Standard mode, Loader version 4.11 and have a Track Circuit failure which seems to be taking ages to be fixed.

The failure occurred at about 02:40 when the failure length time was set to MEDIUM. I usually set the failure length time to LOW at the beginning of a sim, but on this occasion forgot to do so. After noticing that it was not being cleared, I reset the time to LOW shortly after 03:00 sim time. I subsequently reduced the time again, the setting of which can be seen in the attached screenshot.
My current session was started at around 03:20 and the time is now 04:00. As I have had the failure length time set to LOW for quite some time, I would have thought that, as in previous games with a similar failure time setting, it would have been fixed long since.

I didn’t think it necessary to attach a saved game but will do if somebody requests that I do so.

The changing of a failure length time will only effect New failures, any failure that occurred before you changed the length of failure time will be subjected to the failure time that was set at the time of failure.

You can fix the TCF with F11 if you decide that it ought to have already ben fixed.

If it's in the early hours there's probably little value in overriding the fault at that time of the day, but as Kev says it can be done.

Remember that in SimSig faults are generally fixed a lot quicker than happens in reality.

Thank you MarkC, Kev and Stephen for your replies to my query.

As you say Stephen, there’s no real point in overriding the track circuit failure as it’s not causing any bother and, in any case, I could follow the usual procedure for sending trains through the affected section.
Also, I wasn’t aware that only new failures would be affected after changing a failure length time. Something else I’ve learnt.
