Hi all, During a session I had t/c TVDO SOWC after the passage of a train into P2 at Paignton from the Torquay direction with points 990A and 990B reverse and the barriers down. The train arrived and stopped occupying t/c TVD (as it should - it was a two car DMU) and TVDO showing occupied (failed) immediately behind it. The barriers auto-raised normally even though TVDO extends over the crossing according to the representation on the sim. It certainly "looks" wrong but I suppose if TVDO was a two part track circuit and the failed part was not actually on the crossing then it might be OK. In any event, a crossing in the overlap of a signal is not considered to be an "obstruction" (see Red Cow LC on the same sim) but in the failure scenario surely the barriers should not raise as this track circuit being occupied could be the rear of an arriving train having stopped short for some reason. I can't provide a save because there's no guarantee that the same failure will occur but I can recreate the scenario using the incident control panel - see attachment. Barriers raised with t/c TVDO occupied. Vince Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Yes I've reproduced this. I understand speaking to other developers that there may be a test version out for test with the testing team already that rectifies this; perhaps Peter can confirm to save an unnecessary mantis report.

I'm not aware of a version out for testing, though it's entirely possible and that I've forgotten about it. However, my copy of v5.4 appears to be behaving correctly; I presume we are talking about 5.4. Peter I identify as half man half biscuit - crumbs! Log in to reply |
