I’ve looked through quite a few posts, but can’t find anything about my little problem. In the Summer 2018 Weekday Carlisle timetable (Loader 4.14), train 6Z07 is scheduled to leave Upperby TMD, reverse at Upperby Bridge Junction Run-Round (signal 935) and then make its way to Kingmoor Depot. After a number of attempts, the only way that I can get it to do so once it has stopped at 395, is by abandoning its timetable, normalising and closing the Ground Frame and setting the appropriate route, after which I select ‘Run to another timetable’ in F2 and set that accordingly. As it’s likely that I am doing something wrong, would someone kindly tell me what the correct procedure is please. I have attached a saved game. Post has attachments. Log in to view them. Wrong tt location if it reverses towards kingmoor. I haven't got the sim to hand but upper by RR is only for use on locos running round their train. If it's just dropping out and reversing it should use upperbyy through goods.

It didn't work as far as I can remember, that's why I resorted to the run-arond route and the Ground Frame. I'll have to give it another go and I'll write down the steps that I take. We'll see what happens and I'll keep you posted. Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate. Log in to reply |

It didn't work as far as I can remember, that's why I resorted to the run-arond route and the Ground Frame. This is the chain of events: 1. 16:57 Accepted 6Z07 from Upperby TMD. 2. 17:00 Train stops at what I consider to be CE267 and changes direction from Up to Down. 3. 17:02 I routed the train towards Carlisle. 4. 17:07 Driver phones to say that he's waitng at red signal 9352. This semms odd to me as I don't know why. There's nothing in the manual to help in this situation. 5. 17:09 As the train seems so reluctant to move and calls again, I ask him to PSDA and, to be on the safe side, to examine the line. All this has happened because there's no visible evidence that signal 9352 exists. I can see the Ground Frame with that description, but no signal. I know that I'm probably stating the obvious, but if 9352 had been visible, perhaps my problem wouldn't have manifested itself. Oh well. Live and learn. Sounds like it has a loco run round. Try switching the ground frame and see if the train/loco moves towards Upperby depot. Is there a 0xxx loco shown in F2 waiting to move?

It's just not very clear what is happening. However, it's all very clear to me now. Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate. Log in to reply |

This one I forgot to update in the timetable. 6Z07 Issue: That's because it has to stop at 'Upperby Through Goods Line' rather than Upperby Bridge Junction. You will find the train did not automatically reverse direction either at your location point. Change Upperby Bridge Jn to Upperby Through GL and remove NX and it will work happily. https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Forum/ThreadView/49003?postId=118897 Aaron (AJRO) | Timetable Writer Last edited: 14/08/2019 at 20:22 by HST125Scorton Reason: None given Log in to reply |

When I have, I'll copy the scores and then play it all over again to see if I can do better, which I'm sure I can. Must be a glutton for punishment.
