Hello all, I'm sure there might not be any info for this, but it's worth asking in case! I'm just wondering if there is any archived maps or diagrams for where the NRN Radio signs were, and what the CSR codes were, more specifically for Edinburgh/Glasgow up to Helensburgh Upper? Now it's all GSM-R areas so it's gone. I wanted the same when I did London to Gatwick with the 460 in Railworks and used the NRN signs supplied, thankfully there was a 2006 route learning video on YouTube so could see where the signs were and the CSR channel numbers. I did initially look at the Network Rail route diagrams but it's just the GSM-R code on there as it would be, at the time forgot the NRN areas no longer exist. Only route learning video's I can find nearby is Glasgow Central - Ayr, not quite the area I want. Is there any older diagrams archived somewhere? Is there a route learning video online I may have missed? Any help would be appreciated! James. Last edited: 13/09/2019 at 22:53 by Underwood Reason: None given Log in to reply |

According to a 2013 Sectional Appendix, it was NRN 068 from Edinburgh to 19 miles 53 chains (approximately three quarters of a mile east of Blackridge), thence 092 to Helensburgh. The only reference to CSR is channel 72 on the page covering Hyndland junctions.

After Grangemouth Jn SB, NRN092. 3) Route via Bathgate still under construction between Bathgate and Drumgelloch so 2013 SA has details. CSR72 listed from Drumgelloch. 4) Route via Shotts: Handover from NRN068 to NRN092 at about Addiewell at the point where Edinburgh SC fringed with Motherwell SC. 5) Route via Carstairs: Handover from NRN068 to NRN092 at about Auchengray LC at the point where Edinburgh SC fringed with Motherwell SC. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply |

No idea where NRN changed on the A2B. CSR Helensburgh to Drumgelloch.... Via Singer Helensburgh to Drumchapel (US 7mp) CSR71 to CSR72. Drumchapel to Helensburgh change to CSR71 from CSR72 on platform at signal YH541. Drumchapel to Drumgelloch CSR72. Via Yoker Helensburgh to just before Hyndland East Junction on the UY, CSR 71 - CSR 72. on the DY the changeover sign was at the overbridge of Queen Victoria Drive literally just before the station. CSR 72 - CSR 71. Helensburgh Upper - NRN I'm sure the change from 092 to 109 is just before 1MP on the UWHD, but would naturally be set up at the station for the tokens. Thought I replied to this, obviously not! Thank you very much for the help just working on this now, but I've noticed I don't appear to have any for Fort William to Glasgow, I hadn't actually checked before I just could have sworn I had, so sorry to ask again, any info for Fort William - Glasgow please? Many Thanks James Last edited: 11/10/2019 at 23:40 by Underwood Reason: None given Log in to reply |
