On Monday morning of this week I had an 'episode' with my Dell Windows 10 laptop where neither my wireless mouse nor keybpard would work. To make matters worse the trackpad on the laptop also stopped working. Fortunately the laptop keyboard still worked and I had a wired mouse to hand so got around the problem. Anyway, the issue has now resolved itself, although I don't know what caused it in the first place. Windows then decided to perform an update. The problem that I now have is that every morning when I boot up the computer I have to log in to SimSig. I never had to do this before, except very occasionally. Does anybody know what I can do rectify this so that I stay logged in for longer? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Yes, I have checked the 'Remember me' box, but it doesn't make any difference.

I check the Remember Me box, but I find that I have to log-in afresh after a month or so. Oddly, though, I see that the SimSigRememberMe cookie shows an expiry date of 31-12-9999. It must be some other cookie that sets the length of the RememberMe function.

The cookie you're after is the ".AspNet.ApplicationCookie" and it's a known issue that was supposed to be fixed a little while ago, but apparently the fix isn't working as expected.

Jan - thanks. As far as I can see, my RememberMe cookie ought to expire tomorrow evening at 21:07. Let's see whether I am kicked out, and have to check the Remember Me box again tomorrow evening.
