Points set against train 25/03/2020 at 18:38 #125019

Hello everyone

I have a rather awkward track section failure at the north end of Sheffield station, causing a bit of a headache! I'm attempting to route a train through the TSF into Platform 3 to clear some of the backlog of up trains from the north. I've keyed the points and authorised the train (2C70) to pass signal 156 at danger. It has done so but is reporting that points are against the train. They all look ok to me but I can't get it to move.

Please see the attached save if anyone fancies taking a look. Also feel free to tell me if I shouldn't have attempted this move but should rather have waited for the S&T to sort things out!

Keep well everyone!

Chris

Most likely the route, you've set hasn't been coded to operate in both directions or at all.

Depends on what the route cards say in the box as to whether its an acceptable route or not.

From looking at the Save game with Debug options, it appear that Points 4079 do not have any reverse direction coded into them which means that the train sees the track circuits as points set against the train.

I doubt that its a route that would be allowed as its a fair distance as a non signalled move. Your best bet would be to see if you can get the MOM or someone similar to manually wind 4077 points for the move (F11, find the points in the list and then Hand Crank Normal or Reverse)
