There is a timetable facility to add a repeating move that happens at random intervals (e.g. something entering the sim from a yard, going into the signalled headshunt then returning to the yard) with a single TT entry.

There are also potential moves of this sort of nature that enter, go off sim, then return such as a light loco entering from a yard, running to an off-sim fuelling point then re-entering and running back to the yard. This would need a rule that the returning loco enters x minutes after the outward loco has left the sim at the fuelling point.

I haven't had time to test things out so does anyone know whether a simple single must enter x minutes after rule would work for more than one fuelling trip?

John my West Yorkshire 1991 timetable has this set up for the Knottingley WRD pilot to trip to the sdgs at the bottom of the screen with repaired MGR wagons & then goes back to Knottingley WRD with defective MGR wagons for repair. It seems to work OK. We first tried on York North/South, but due to a missing location issueit didn't seem to work properly.. So I suggest you look at the West Yorkshire 1991 TTif you have it that is.

Hmmm.

The thing is train 2 won't unter until train 1 has left... The first time.

Once train 1 has left and satisfied the rule condition, train 2 is free to enter whenever it wants subject to the intervals given in its shunt settings, regardless of what train 1 does. I can't remember where it's documented but it was stated rules and shunt moves don't mix.
