Hello SimSig Team, Well done on the new launcher, I must say it has a very friendly UI and looks much more improved on the 4K monitors I have here. Well done on that! Also I commend the team on what was a smooth transition - no issues there. Can I put forward a suggestion re the 'Show Timetable' window: 1) Can the window remember its X, Y and Width and Height position. Currently each open puts it in a new place. Minor, but previously this would open in the same place and once I have positioned where I would like each window it would be great for this to stay in the same place when the 'Multiple pop-up TT windows' is de-selected (nice to have the option there though!) 2) Can the CSS file be changed for this window? I can't seem to find it. I have changed the CSS (for readability) for my personal use on the Train List and Simplifier, would be nice to have this on the 'Show Timetable' window too. Also, any change we can have a press SPACEBAR to pause the Sim? Just to copy the flow that other apps have (Spotify, YouTube, etc) Many thanks for the update, good to see not being stuck on a single version and "that's the way its always been" approach not being the case here! -DH Log in to reply The following user said thank you: GeoffM |

Thanks for the kinds comments. RE the Show Timetable window. During testing around half the people wanted it in the same place; the other half wanted it in a different place. I'll probably end up adding an option to cater for both tastes. There is no custom CSS for that window currently, but it is already scheduled to be added. Spacebar, hmm, just need to check it won't break something else but it's a good idea. SimSig Boss Log in to reply The following users said thank you: pebbens, dhouk, Phil-jmw |

Thanks for the quick response! I have found the Show Timetable window when not set to 'Multiple...' does just keep its location. It's only when I accidentally ESC or close it. - Not a huge issue! My personal priority is the CSS for us (a few I'm sure...) accessibility users Thanks Geoff Log in to reply |

Menu Button > Show > Options (or press F3) Choose the 'Display' tab and untick the box 'Multiple pop-up TT windows' on the right hand side. Log in to reply |

Hi folks, Could we get an option to hide the train characteristics text at the top of the Timetable window? Or put it at the bottom? I don't need all of that info. if I'm just checking if booked in on platform 2 or 3. When the timetable is minimised, it no longer restores when a TD is clicked, it stays minimised. +1 to restore to the user set size, regardless of whether this window is already open. Ta, Steve. I find the train length information very useful in deciding whether a goods fits in a loop or whether an non-timetabled platform share is possible. On the other hand, it feels like cheating, that all this information is so rapidly available! Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Trainfan344 |

GeoffM in post 127974 said:Thanks for the kinds comments.I'm going to dissent against this, I don't think SimSig is the kind of software that suits use of the spacebar for that function in the user workflow. SimSig uses a lot of Windows dialog boxes, where the spacebar should (and used to) operate the OK/Cancel button or whatever is automatically selected in the in-focus window. Tapping the spacebar should close or apply the default action to whatever dialog window is open at the moment. The fact that the Close button isn't automatically highlighted in v5 is something I'll raise separately. Log in to reply |

@flabberdacks - I can understand this and although Spacebar to pause would be personally useful, maybe the middle ground would be the action to pause only takes place then the Spacebar is pressed when the SimSig display window is active (the one used to click signals and set routes)? Not when a popup is active - for these, the spacebar is the same as the enter button (as is now). Agree on the default action should be selected for Enter/Space to be used ('Ok' buttons etc) Log in to reply |

Ah! I wasn't aware - In which case, sure, keep the P key to pause and leave space without a separate function. I have now re-looked over the shortcut keys wiki https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Wiki/Show?page=usertrack:ssrun:shortcut_keys Log in to reply |
