Have noticed that all the WM Metro services at Tipton are TT'd to pass not stop.

A brief search online reveals that the station was OOU in Jan 2010 for a referb but for the timetable day in question looks like it was in use.

Is this correct? Equivalent TT on Wolves sim also shows same for Tipton stoppers...

Just checked the data set and all services are pass at Tipton, can only assume that it was a fairly long project

Following a session that included New St chained to Saltley amongst others, I've noticed that V5.0.0 of the New St 2009 TT has several Cross Country services (both NE - SW & Notts - Cardiff) missing.

These include 1V42 to 1V70 (evens), 1V03-1V14 & 1V16 & 1M00 & 1M01, and the corresponding Northbound SW/NE services are timetabled to enter on the Dn Bordesley at Tyseley (eg. 1S33/1S35) or don't have a schedule - 1S31, 1S39, 1S43, 1S47, 1S51, 1S55, 1S59, 1S71 & 1S98 - some of these headcodes are already used for VT services that start at BHM.

I assume that I have the latest file version (‎23 ‎April ‎2021, ‏‎20:22:28) or have I missed something?

TIA.

I have looked through the data and agree that they services you listed are missing, The source data has a glitch in it which I need to correct and will then update the TT. Apologies for the delayed reply we had discussed the matter and are currently working on the fix in the source data.

It looks like our import tool was ignoring trains that passed Landor Street and St. Andrews without considering that one could visit New Street in between those locations by reversing.

Mantis 34985 for the sim and 34986 for the TT.

Thanks guys.

Geoff - have also noticed that trains don't step-up straight to BHM when diverted via the opposite entry point - Selly Oak Vs. Proof House Jn - manual intervention is required. Is this fixable? - have ended up with trains waiting at platform end signals rather than stopping at the station.

If you mean coming from Kings Norton via Selly Oak instead of via St. Andrews and vice versa then I don't think that would be prototypical. Yes, it could be done, but that opens up a whole can of worms with numerous other re-routings; a complete can of worms. My understanding is that trains would not be re-routed at Kings Norton on a whim as not only do the driver and conductor have to sign the alternative route (not all do via St. Andrews), but the train company's control would also have to be consulted, as the train will be the wrong way around at New Street. And then customer information systems would need manual intervention, wheelchair/bike spaces would be in the wrong place... and so on.

Don't forget the other way around is possible too, coming from Water Orton and taking the long route via Selly Oak.

Any word on the update to the timetable? I know New street was updated a short time ago but it didn't add the missing services from kings norton. No rush, just curious
