Yes, I've been watching it through the BBC and news sites, a full Inter7City set off the rails and down an embankment, with reports the driver may have passed.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved

Thoughts with all - thank goodness for the very small mercy that Aberdeen is on lock down and travel is much reduced. Any casualties are too many but this could have been any number.

It's also fortunate that 1H25 appears to have been started at Aberdeen, rather than Dundee this morning, otherwise it would've passed the accident at around the same time, potentially becoming a part of it.

Again, it’s best not to speculate on the incident that has happened at Carmont or any other “might haves”.

Can I also kindly ask that members again hold back on the speculation of what they may or may not have heard.

Sorry to kinda repeat this point, but this is my colleagues that are involved. I’m sure we will all have our thoughts and prayers to all those involved.

Maybe it would be better for all now that the community has registered its concerns and best wishes if the mods could lock this thread.

I had seen Thameslink mention something but I never realised the scale of the incident, my thoughts go to the victims and also to the frontline staff attending.

My thoughts to all those involved. I had seen that GWR had posted something on Twitter albeit with no images but I had no idea it was on this scale either. Very sad news for all concerned and those who knew them.

I think locking the thread would be a good idea also. Speculation is one thing but I think we should wait until the RAIB have had a look at this business.
