I'm setting up SimSig on a new PC, so thought I'd try being a new user and see why so many get it wrong and pay before trying.

Yes, that is what I'd do too simply visiting the website.

'Products' has the click to buy that on most sites would then release a download link.

To help fix this I suggest that on that page
https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Product/Index/25
put in a banner at the top above the 'shop' bit of
DOWNLOAD SYSTEM FILES FIRST HERE <LINK>
Check out any of our sims before purchasing your license from the list below.

Also under 'Download'
https://www.SimSig.co.uk/File
could the system files be promoted to the top level now, given sims do not need to be downloaded ?

Funnily enough I was already modifying this area today and have included part of your suggestion. Maybe more later.

I've just been looking at https://www.SimSig.co.uk/Article/Details/181 which is the page reached from the Get Started button on the home page.

This takes a new user through the process of downloading and installing the system files and then downloading sims as required. The embedded graphics show the loader screen for v4.5.12 which includes the Licence Manager button.

To reduce the possibilities for confusion, could the page be updated to show a more recent loader screen with the Username and Password boxes and a note reminding new users to enter their details into those boxes rather than pointing to the no longer required Licence Manager?

Thanks. Wasn't sure it was an appropriate question for Mantis.
