As per my recent thread, I think it would be really good to split up the train delay sliders that are used in the incident control panel.

So you would have one slider for delays for trains entering (IE using the existing delay box on a train timetable)

Then another slider for train phonecalls (broken window, wrong kind of food trolley etc)

I like to run severely disrupted timetables, but to make that happen means you get lots of phonecalls, which normally results in the world coming to a stand!

It would be interesting to see some real life figures on this. How often are trains delayed during station stops in real life per box/panel. I assume it depends on the area but I imagine it isn't a frequent as depicted in the sim even with relatively low failures on.

This is purely personal feeling, but I think you tend to get a lot more instances of station stops running over by a minute or two here and there than the full on sit-downs you get in SimSig.

At some point quite a few years ago while playing King's Cross I got the impression that simulated dwell times actually increased during peak hours – while I haven't been able to recreate that effect and so probably was just imagining things (or maybe it was just my horrible signalling at that time), something in that direction or as mentioned by Steamer might actually be a nice addition.
Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick.

The majority of station delays are generally unreported, the train will come to a stand, at a station, be delayed for a couple mins and unless we call them we hear nothing.

The calls we do get include: persons holding the doors, ill passenger, door faults, no driver or guard (at terminus's, so delaying its departure), train fault, police assistance required, wrong paperwork on freight trains,
