Roll Over for Multiple-Day TT's 07/12/2020 at 06:21 #134423

So . . . I'm running Carlisle as a Single Player using the excellent 79-80 Mon-Fri TT, a complete nightmare to learn but so satisfying once you've 'got' it.
I'm just about to finish the Monday shift (It's 23:59:09 on the clock) and of course I'd to do the Tuesday shift and so on.

I'd like to simply 'roll over' from one days TT to the next days without having to start a 'new' session. Is there a way to do that?
I meandered briefly into Open/Merge but that strikes me as NOT the way to go . . .

I ask cos I've got Post-It's all over the show for Signal Numbers and the Scratch Pad is set up 'just so' cos, like the hair, the memory's getting a bit grey these days and it's gonna be a pain in the ar...m to have to recreate it all.

Thanks in advance,
Neal x

Short answer is yes, You'll have to start over with the next day. Longer answer is as follows.

Simsig doesn't have the concept of what day's timetable is running. Typically speaking as far as I'm aware, anything relating to the day is done through decisions.

If you was to use the Merge TT option at 2359 would bring in all the trains for the "day" that has just passed, so you'll end up with numerous trains entering at the same time, and back to back as the sim time is later than the entry times for the trains.

The best way of transferring your notes etc is to have the old session open along side the new session, and manually copy and paste the content of the notes to the new session.

Hope this at least somewhat answers your question, although I accept its not really what you was hoping to hear.

Ahhh, you're right about not wanting to hear that but it IS rather what I was expecting . . .

Good call, however, on the Copy And Paste Over 2 Sessions, hadn't even considered that possibility.

Thanks very much for your help.
