Does anyone know if CSR is still in use or is it purely a GSM-R area those days?

I know it was in use back before parts of Kings Cross PSB migrated to York ROC but as that has now happened, I don't know if the comms between driver and signaller has changed too.

Anyone able to help at all?

It was replaced by GSM-R, and as I understand it the frequencies used were then sold off, along with those used by NRN.

No CSR anywhere now. Plenty of channel change boards still up though after the national GSM-R project renegaded on removing them at decommissioning.

When was that though? I'm just curious because there was talk in the forum's about RETB being upgraded which made me think of my old stomping grounds but also because in the AP Class 317 for TS you can set up the CSR so wondered if there was a list of the old channels and their respective areas as they are no longer on use if at all?

I've been struggling to find exact dates.

NRN was switched off south of a line between the Seven estuary and The Wash at the start of 2013; however CSR appears to have lingered on for a time afterwards.

Somewhere OFCOM will have the date they reorganised the 440-450MHz Fixed (Primary) and Mobile (Primary) and also the 450-455MHz Fixed (Primary) and Mobile (Primary) allocations which will be after CSR was finally switched off.
