Hello,

I have played SimSig for a number of years but never ventured into the world of multiplayer. Having tried this evening and failed :-( I am hoping I might be able to join a multiplayer game at some point. Is there any advice people might give me for when I do manage to join?

It's really good and even for experienced players of the sims it's a good way of picking up tips and learning new things.

There is no special etiquette other than waiting for the host to assign panels/ask for panel preferences before the game starts otherwise it's just like playing alone, but obviously with other people managing panels. Ask adjacent signalers if they're ok to accept early freights etc.

Definitely a good way to get some playing time on larger sims which are hard to manage as a solo player.

Take a look at the general Multiplayer page on the Wiki, and the MP Etiquette page, which lists a few general "dos and don'ts" for players. Other than that, have a read of the game listing that you want to join, and dive in. Let the host know when you join that you've not done MP before, people are happy to help.

Enjoy!

You may even want to just watch for a while rather than taking an active part so that you can get the feel for how it all works. Most hosts will be happy for you to do that.

yep, it's amazing the knowledge you learn! and if you are unsure about claiming and running panel as a host I and all the other hosts out there are happy to keep an eye and help where needed after we were all a team trying to run the same trains on the same railway!

Hello all, I am hoping somebody can help me. I have never had this problem before but I purchased the Portsmouth SimSig yesterday the license is showing under my licenses but I cannot allocate it to my machine and I can't see why. There doesn't appear to be anywhere to accept T&C's as it says on there and when I load SimSig and go to license manager nothing is showing for Portsmouth. Can anybody help me please?

When you open your loader does it say V5.X at the bottom next to the start button?

If it doesn't I recommend you download SimSig again from the website and install. The license manager is now obsolete and you login with your credentials on the front page of the loader. There's also no need to allocate licenses anymore, it's all done automatically. (Unless you use SimSig offline then you can right click on a sim in the loader to lock the license)

I'm not sure which next button that would be. You might want to try and change the scaling options of your display back to 100% if it's not already there see https://www.windowscentral.com/how-set-custom-display-scaling-setting-windows-10 for more information on how to do that.
