My daughter is completing her final year university dissertation looking at transport links in Greater Manchester.

She would like to know if there are any station / line maps of around 1990/1991 vintage so that these can be compared to the current network as part of her research.

I'll have a good google myself, but I'm sure there's some knowledgeable folk here that can point us in the right direction.

Thanks!

Thanks for your help.

I bought the 1990 quail (I'm a sucker for those anyway). I also found a great site http://www.projectmapping.co.uk/Reviews/manchester_train_maps.html which has a 1985 map which is good start.

The 6th Edition 'Baker' rail atlas was published in 1990, which may be easier to read and compare from than Quail?

I've no idea if any are on the market; the 5th and 7th editions were printed in 1988 and 1992 respectively.
