Across all the SimSig sims, which signal has the largest number of routes which can be set from it? For example, signal 6 on the Wimbledon sim can set 10 routes, into Waterloo platforms 8-17. Or maybe it's 9 routes - 7 directly into platforms 8-14 plus 2 to the intermediate exit buttons leading towards platforms 15-17. There isn't really any purpose to this question other than idle curiosity... (named for the one in Tasmania, not in Russia) Log in to reply |

How about NS244 (Birmingham New Street simulation; North Tunnel; Up Stour)? I can count at least 16 different routes I can set from it; including 'normal' main signal to main signal routes, the route into Platform 4C, and also the three routes into the three different sidings. Whilst I don't think that there are any (?) via button alternatives applicable to routes from that signal, you might want to mention if you're counting route using different via buttons as separate or not - especially if the route leads to the same place anyway. [Basically 'seconding' what madaboutrains said above]. VC532 at Victoria. Quick count (I might be wrong) suggests 48 routes. The identity is divided as follows: R - this is a route object 532 - signal number <alpha> - lettered from A, leftmost route looking at the signal <digit> - variant to the same destination, listed in order of preference. Some are skipped where they make non-sensical wiggles. <M/C> - main or call-on (also S=shunt, W=warner). The route to the South Eastern side (H) is a little different due to the divisional boundary. Euston signal 64 has 74 routes and 65 has 72. The destination letters go up to U in both cases (omitting I). A to P are platforms 1 to 15 in that order, Q is the Parcels Dock (old era), R is signal 166 for shunting to sidings A to C (new era), and S to U for platforms 16 to 18 (new era). Q and R only have shunt routes; all the rest have main and calling-on routes. Most platforms have lots of different via routes; I can't be bothered to provide details - see the manual instead.
