I've noticed that the clock in the shoutbox which usually shows local time, is in fact 1 hour out, presumably it'd forgotten to change the clock forward! Edit - also the forum posts are also showing the 'old' time. Also seems to be some inconsistency in the Games List as well, some hosts games appear to be an hour out from their intended time, but others are as they were (and all are UK hosts). Under your profile what is your timezone showing as? Profile Page Mine is showing as "Timezone: Europe/London (current offset from server time: 01:00:00) (edit)" And all times are correctly shown as in BST. I have the forum timezone set to Europe/Amsterdam, and somehow I am seeing the real time on forum posts and shouts (after refreshing the page as new shouts appear in GMT.) However start times of games are off by an hour for me - at least for Andy's games that were entered before the clock changed. And more people seem to be confused about the KX 1955 game that is up now, which is displaying a start time 20 minutes in the future for me and hasn't yet started. (EDIT: Karl already asked about the timezone while I was writing.) In my Chrome it is correct to BST if I open IE its on GMT... work that 1 out!

Oddly refreshing the setting in Windows time/date (i.e. clicking them again, not actually changing anything) has rectified it, although everything in my games list is now 1 second out (e.g. 18:29:59 instead of 18:30:00 - no big deal though).

If you set your timezone offset right, you can see other people's posts before they've written them.

My Timezone is showing: Africa/Abidjan (current offset from server time: 00:00:00) (edit) Seems to be about the right Longitude but a bit odd though. Everything that you make will be useful - providing it's made of chocolate. Log in to reply |
