Chrisrail. I am a bit new to this! I am having trouble with the above timetable where trains terminate at Bedwyn. Although the siding is 130m long, the class 800 trains will not go fully in (also 130m), stopping part way across the layout. I have learned how to change the train type, but there a lot to change. (eg 1K04 - 5K11 -1K11). I wondered, am I doing something wrong? hope that helps. No other issues, a great game. Thanks Ian Log in to reply |

You could change the train type as a whole, instead of each train using it. Just shortening it to 120 instead of 130m should be enough. The issue of the 800s not fitting is probably because they want to keep a 10m gap to the buffer stops. The timetable can fix this by using a "N" or "NX" stopping position, forcing the train to stop only when it is in the siding with the tail. It’s another era related issue, the sim is incompatible with the timetable. Bedwyn Siding was lengthened to allow IETs to fit, before then it was only generally used by Turbos. Shortening the formation may well bodge around the issue, but isn’t accurate to real life. If an IET had gone in there in the days when the line was still controlled by Reading Panel, the back end would have been hanging out. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: Bridges |
