2789 posts 		In July my wife bought me a 7-day All Lines pass, so I went off around the network. I took about a thousand photos, most of which are awful.

But here's a little quiz for people: 41 photos from that trip, shuffled into random order. Can you work out where they are? (Just to make it a bit harder, I've blanked out signal ID plates and station names.)

I'll fill in the answers as they're guessed.

122 posts 		I feel that if I give all 22 Answers I have then I'll spoil the quiz for everyone else by being too quick (edit: though looking back maybe I should have posted them as I came up with them rather than compiling them all so it doesn't just look like I copied ones previously guessed), but here you go anyway (there's also a couple of "I know I'm wrong but my best idea was" 's in there too just in case I'm wrong about being wrong):

Re 21, is Bicester Eastern Perimeter Road LC still wire operated, as that was the only one I knew of and as such would have been my guess.

1180 posts 		No, 21 is for the level crossing at Porthmadog station. I took a very similar photo from that very foot crossing by the WHR!

Looking at some maps, and triangulating back (if you can call it that when I have one point to guess from) then I'd say it was taken whilst travelling between Tygwyn and Talsarnau stations (or vice versa) But if I'm wrong here I think I'll leave it to someone with a better idea rather than just throwing more wild guesses at it.

The GPS data in the photo points right at Talsarnau station, so I'll give you that.
