interlocking failure: main aspect cleared with no overlap 23/01/2022 at 08:44 #143768 | |

After I keyed point 2060 reverse, in preparation for train 5N28 crossing over, I tried to set back the warner route from S59 to S65. I received a popup with "Internal Error: swingset not all swingable". S59 then set its route and cleared to a main aspect without any overlap at all, not even the warner route overlap. (Note in the image, the keyed points are flashing ingame because they want to move reverse, but cannot because of 1P39's subroute) It appears the signal wrongly thought it could use the full overlap, tried to unkey the points back to allow this, failed to do that because of the internal error, and then defaulted to the unsafe behaviour of not requiring any overlap at all. The signal remains in a broken state if the route is cancelled and then set again, this time without any error, immediately defaulting to a main aspect route without overlap. Note that while doing this, the reduced part of the overlap lights up white for one tick, but immediately drops out again.

Also, once this (the one mentioned in the 2nd post) route is travelled on by a train, the signal TORRs immediately when the berth track circuit clears, instead of the usual behaviour of waiting for the overlap track circuit to clear, resulting in it looking like this: Unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to grab a savefile before the train cleared the overlap. Broken route set again for a 3rd train (1st save), 2nd save is with train about to clear berth track circuit, 3rd save is with berth track circuit clear and shows early TORR behaviour, 4th save is when S59 overlap track circuit is clear too.

Note that the points being locked normal matters - if the points are actually in the reverse position (or moving towards it), the route correctly behaves like a warner route.

Ah, please ignore the parts related to the changed TORR behaviour, that appears to be intended on S59, probably because of the shunt signal S5040 that would otherwise not be able to clear.

Revisited this and it's easily reproducible from scratch: - Start with normal mode, ARS disabled and post-2013 era - Set route 72 to 66 (and allow a few seconds to clear etc) - Key points 2060 reverse (they will start flashing because the above route locks them normal) - Set route 59 to 65 (throws up internal error: SwingSet not all swingable, and signal clears to single yellow with no overlap at all) You can use F10 to occupy track RM and observe the signal stays at single yellow, discounting a visual-only bug.
