I know this subject has come up many times previously. I am a new user and recently purchased my first simulation - Port Talbot. Whilst I can see it listed under 'Manage my Licences' I cannot load the full version using Loader. I can, however, load up and operate the trial version and other free simulations such as Derby and Peterborough.

Other posts mention issues with anti-virus software and firewall. I am using Windows 7 as a partition on my Mac under VMware Fusion. I know Windows 7 is ancient technology but I only use Windows 7 to run some legacy programs - most of the time I am using Apple software on the Mac. There is currently no up to date anti-virus software on the Microsoft partition (previously Windows Defender) as I do not generally connect to the internet. I have put Simsig.co.uk as a trusted site under the firewall setting. Since I have been using the Mac for the last 10 years or so I have forgotten the little I did know about setting up MS systems and settings. Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to overcome the Loader issue.

Have you signed in on the first screen of the Loader? Same username/password as you use here.

Yes. As soon as I type in my user name and password the message changes from Contacting server to Cannot communicate with server.
