Hi

Ive got 6J42 sat at Maindee North headshunt. What haapens after it is turned around at Newport. On timetable it says Maindee East Junction (Berth). Where does this berth to or do you just route it to Maindee East Junction and leave it there

'Berth' usuually means that the train has no further workings in the TT and just stays where it is, usually overnight.

Berth does indeed mean that the train is terminating at that location with no further workings in the TT for it. Generally it is used where trains finish their days work at a station, but remains in the platform overnight rather than returning to a depot.
Berth was implemented into timetables to make it obvious that a train was terminating with no inward working, and it also suppressed the warning about no inward working when a TT is analysed
