In the attached save, 3S88 appears to have sat down on the main line, thinking that it is at Oxley DGL and therefore causing a bit of a blockage. ISTR that previously trains timetabled to the DGL exited the sim via the Oxley CS 'turn off'? Secondly, could it be confirmed that trains exit the sim after Codsall/CL2 signal, as have had some frustrations after writing some TT rules that depend on trains exiting past Cosford - a note in the manual? If you do not get a timing message, you cannot use it for the 'arrived/passing' rule types. Sims vary in approach Bill Log in to reply |

I can reproduce this with the train blocking the off sim area until booked departure time from the loop. Mantis 35837 raised.

I think Geoff said that he was doing some work on Wolverhampton not long back. Another thing I have noticed (or not been able to achieve) is to allow down trains from Oxley CS towards Cosford. I cannot validate directly from Oxley CS to Cosford but if I timetable Oxley CS => Oxley => Cosford, it validates but the train simply runs up from Oxley and then stops just before WV north jn at the signal (it doesn't reverse). I think IRL you can exit the depot in the down direction but I wondered if it was wired to reverse to the south of Oxley! Although Oxley is strictly "off-sim" down ECS movements could cause a realistic delay to following passenger trains so it would be cool to be able to do this. Log in to reply |

For trains entering from the Shrewsbury side, a similar situation appears. If they are booked in the UGL, they block the line for traffic from both Cosford and Oxley CS (the latter, I think because the route across Oxley is already set by then.)

Multiple issues here, part of which are covered by this new FAQ Pascal/58050 is thoroughly exhausting every nuance of the sim currently and the update will be released when he's happy. My thanks to him and his testers. lukebriner in post 145650 said: Another thing I have noticed (or not been able to achieve) is to allow down trains from Oxley CS towards Cosford.Don't do this. It's not supported and won't be. Off-sim workings use the KISS principle and this doesn't really fit. SimSig Boss Log in to reply The following users said thank you: Albert, Soton_Speed |
