Hi All,

Having lurked in the shadows of SimSig for a number of years, I have decided to produce a timetable assisted a lot by 58050 & JC92. The period in time from 1994 to around 2002 is a bit of a missing gap Timetable wise so I thought I would have a go at addressing that and I hope this is the 1st hopefully a few more!

I have used the relevant working timetables Section "YA" & "YE" Passenger & Section "YH" for Freight Traffic. I have also used a number of weekly train plans that I have in my collection for the Steel, Oil and Chemical and MGR Traffic. The Timetable is heavy with coal traffic both Imports that was rising at the time and UK Mined Coal from the remaining Yorkshire and North Notts Coalfields along with the increasing amount of Anglo Scottish Trains.

Passenger wise the area has an intensive passenger service with local services from Hull to Doncaster and Sheffield and Cleethorpes to Manchester and Sheffield & Leeds to Doncaster and the turn round service from Sheffield to Adwick. The Intercity services that pass through the area a mixture of Electrically Hauled Class 91 & MkIV Sets and HST's (9 Coach formations For ECML Services, 8 for MML Services, 7 XC Services) along with Class 47/8s with 7 Mk2F stock for some cross country services.

One traffic that was big business for the railway was Royal Mail traffic and with this being set in the winter period I have included the additional Royal Mail traffic that runs during this period of time with the normal working timetabled trains.

This as I say is my 1st Timetable and if you find any issues with this then please do let me know all feed back is appreciated.

Thanks,

Thanks for the Feedback Appreciate that and an amended TT will be sent out for Moderator Approval early next week with a small number of issues being corrected mainly typos and the odd timing tweaked and descriptions updated.

Regarding the Class 59 Hauled Coal Train reaching 90mph! When National Powers Rail Operation was absorbed by EWS in 1998, a group of drivers on a road learning special to Tyne Yard with 59202 decided that they would try and beat the land speed record for a class 59/2 and managed to get the loco up to 104mph on the journey. The loco was parked up on shed at Ferrybridge after the run and was struck up before midnight to go on the Aire Valley Coal Circuit and coming out of Gascoigne Wood going to Drax the locos flashed over all its traction motors and was a failure! Funny thing was it had come off traction motor repairs the day before it went on the road lerning special!

Thanks,
Zero Delta Zero Seven.

Running Wednesday on the updated timetable, 5A10 0400 Neville Hill - Hull via Temple Hirst and Doncaster and 5A10 0414 Neville Hill - Hull via south Kirkby Jn, Adwick and Doncaster both run. As they both show Doncaster depart 0535 to Hull these are presumably different routings for the same working so I think a rule is required to make them mutually exclusive?

Hi I'm enjoying the TT and I have noticed that 7C32 has a passing time of 09.12 at Shaftholme Jcn and 09.21 for Knottingley South Jcn (9 mins between the 2 points)and reported passing Knottingley South Jcn 9 mins late. Also 7F46 passes Shaftholme Jcn at 09.19 and Knottingley South Jcn at 09.27 (8 mins between the 2 points),reports passing Knottingley South Jcn 13 mins late, so maybe needs slight adjustments on the timings.

just a couple more things that I have noticed. Up to 13:30 and 7H41 has no description of starting point or destination just the train type and 6D95 is missing it's destination in the description box.

Regards
