Hello,

I've decided to purchase another simulation and have narrowed down the choice to :
- Warrington PSB
- Edge Hill

I would like to maybe have comments from people who own those simulations (and available timetables...very important !) in order to help me in my decision.
This will be for Solo playing exclusively.

The top 5 simulations that I regularly play are :
- Carlisle (mostly with the fantastic 1979/80 timetable)
- Rugby Center
- Swindon / Didcot
- Westbury
- Euston

Thanks for your comments. Cheers !

Jean

Of those two, I prefer Warrington because I find Edge Hill gets a bit repetitive.

As an aside, have you played the 80's timetable for Exeter, I find that one very good.

I'm about three quarters of the way through a Warrington timetable and it's been enjoyable, especially with a few delays and failures thrown in.

I quite like Edge Hill but sometimes find I can get sidetracked dealing with freight movements, runarounds etc and take my eye off the ball on the mainline, but I guess that's all part of the challenge.

I think Warringtons great for a solo player especially now it has a 1977 & 1996 timetable, lots of varied traffic which with a selection of options/closures etc becomes demaWding but not overwhelmingly so.

I sometimes have the same problem with the 1979/80 timetable for Carlisle. Things get so intense at Carlisle that I forget to keep an eye on the mainline and end up with a fast passenger train being delayed by a freight train. Very unforgiving timetable...but so much fun !

Thanks everyone for the comments. I've decided to go with Warrington. But Edge Hill remains on the list as a future purchase. Especially if new timetables are produced.

Cheers !
