Just purchased Cowlairs sim.Cracking sim that I picked up pretty quickly.
Is there a way of making this or infact all the sims more difficult with late trains,failed trains etc and if so how do I do this.
Also are there any older timetables for Cowlairs.

Thanks.

Well sure, of course, after choosing your timetable click next again and Cowlairs has a variety of difficulty settings. Most sims come with the standard difficulty settings (or slight variations thereupon), but several also have bespoke scenarios to choose from, such as platform or line closures.

More generically go to the failures tab in the F3 options menu and you can tweak the sliders to your exact specifications (the difficulty settings will set them in particular positions). These sliders are worth experimenting with and can be freely adjusted at any point in the game.

The Cowlairs sim is actually a small corner of the Central Scotland sim that has been snipped off by the developer. The Central Scotland sim is not only much larger but also much more demanding as the sim includes the manually signalled routes from the Carmuirs area through Stirling and Dunblane to Greenloaning. The bundled 2006 TT for Cowlairs is similarly snipped from the 2006 Central Scotland TT while Bill Wilson (bill_gensheet) has a couple of heritage era TTs for Central Scotland and their associated snips for Cowlairs available from the Downloads section.

The route is:

Downloads
---->User Contributed
---------->Timetables

and choose the sim
Cowlairs timetables are this page https://www.SimSig.co.uk/File/Index/145
As well as my 1984 and 1993 that Postal mentions, there is my 2016 and a 2021 from 9pN1SEAp (Jamie)

I did look at 1974, but no more trains than 1984 and no personal experiences to help with platforming / train formations.
Back to 1964 there's even less trains (Buchanan St open, so no Oban or Cumbernauld services) and you miss closed branches (Kirkintilloch).

No, you have to move them to the right folders to show up in SimSig.

You will probably find them unzipped in a 'Cowlairs' folder in wherever your browser of choice puts downloads. This might not be the windows 'downloads' folder.
Either that or download again and instruct it where to download - ie Desktop

Assuming Win10, the timetables for Cowlairs need to go to:

C:
....Users
........Public
............Public Documents
................SimSig
....................Timetables
..........................Cowlairs

C:\Users\Public\Documents\SimSig\Timetables\cowlairs
