My Staffordshire License has been removed. 29/09/2022 at 15:33 #148194

For some reason my default browser, (which was DuckDuckGo) and my Home pages have been removed. As a result, I have had to reset my SimSig password in order to log in to SimSig.

This all works fine now but the Staffordshire game that I was playing Dynamically and in the middle of, has had the Licence removed.

I have asked for it to be reinstated, but was wondering how long this might take.

Thanks. bugsy

Edit: Since I uploaded the above post, I decided to see what would happen if I tried to open a Staffordshire saved game.
To my surprise I was able to do so despite the License removal.

Could somebody please explain that?

You can open a saved game without a license, but the simulation will close after the demo period expires.

If I've understood you rightly, there's no need to ask for a license to be re-instated, you just need to enter your new password on the Loader home screen and the license will be available again. If the Loader still has your old password entered, then it won't allow you to access a license because that password is no longer correct.

I have entered my new password and have continued with the Staffordshire game which I have been playing now for in excess if 25 minutes without any problems.

However, when I check my account, this is what I see against Staffordshire

That's because you've locked the license to your machine, you should be able to right click on the sim in the loader menu and unlock it.

This is strange because I never locked the license to my machine.

When I did as you suggested, I got the image in the attached file. As you can see, I don't get the option to unlock the license because it is greyed out.
None of these oddities worry me as long as I can continue playing this sim.
Furthermore, when I clicked on the 'Manage my Licenses' button in 'My Account' the 'Request unlock' red box is no longer there so there is now nothing in the date column for Staffordshire.

All very confusing.
