I am trying to attached a loco to the 2nd portion of a mail train in platform 5 at Woking. After the first portion departs the loco arrives arrives in the platform and reported waiting joining train which is already there.
I Have changed the stopping point several time without the desired result. The only way to get the loco to attach is by abandoning the timetable waiting until it reports the joining is in front them use the run to another timetable facility and then it joins.
What am I missing here ? any assistance would be appreciated

Just had a quick play - 1P03 with near end 20 stopping position allows 0P03 to join.

I would suggest that 0L01/0P03 & 5P03 are made non ARS on entry - it gives the player better control over the moves

Passed the age to be doing 'Spoon Feeding' !!!

Thanks for the reply never had an issue with 0P03 , No matter where I put the stopping mark for 1P03 . Just 0L01 which will not join also i had to take 0L01 out of ARS as it set the incorrect route when it arrives at WK1220

Your fix is setting 0L01 to NX+250

Explanation:

Despite being set 'far end' stop 1P03 stops at 148m into the 314m P5 track circuit
Having departed, that leaves 1L01 only 93m into the TC - so 221m from the west/down end

Despite me setting 0L01 to 'far end exact', 0L01 also stops 148m into the 314m TC (from the west end), hence a gap and not joining.
NX+250 forces 0L01 to keep going.

I recall something about Woking stopping points for short trains in the sim discussion.
