Bit off-piste but did the 1997 resignalling also involve a rebuilding of Woking station or renumbering of its platforms? Asking on behalf of the 1995 RailTrack WTT authors who have written in numerous through trains stopping at Woking platform 3.
(named for the one in Tasmania, not in Russia)

There was a new Up Bay added (Now Platform 3) So in old layouts P1 and P2 will be the same and what is now P4 would have been P3 and so on. THe down bay has always been the there.

RIP Feltham Panel 1

In the 1960s:-
P1 - Up bay (now location of bus stand);
P2 - Up Slow, now P1;
P3 - Up Fast, now P2;
P4 - Dn Fast; }
P5 - Dn Slow; } to my knowledge unchanged,
P6 - Dn bay. }

I can only help one person a day. Today's not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look too good either.

for reference, I made a mock of the 1930s Woking signal box from the 70s onwards until its closure in 1997 to visually see how the layout changed

(included is the pre-2013 Aldershot/Alton lines, to show the changes)

May be a question of exact dates, but I thought MHR Meon loop was a consequence of the Alton resignalling, as early galas had MHR using Alton P2 to 'pass' outgoing trains.
Noted in photos 1989 at least, not 1992 (or maybe not a full gala timetable when I went).
