Hi,

I've just been sent this link to a petition regarding the proposed redevelopment of Liverpool St Station which people might be interested in.
https://www.change.org/p/save-liverpool-street-station-from-destructive-redevelopment?redirect=false

I'm neither encouraging nor discouraging people to sign - make your own minds up, (I've not yet read the various links so don't know what I think myself yet).

My immediate reaction was it would be more desecration, but having watched the video promotion I don't think it would be. The current concourse is absolutely dire and this scheme would definitely improve it. The best feature of the station, the train shed, will remain as is.

Are we looking at the same station? The platforms are pretty much underground and the concourse is open, spacious and airy - at least to me.
