I don't know whether this matters; probably not as its not affected my game, but I've had an "Internal Error"
.....

It would appear that there was no need to report this issue.

It wasn't a problem for me, so I'll just carry on and not report it if I get any more.

Hey Bugsy.

Could you describe what you were doing when the error popped up. Could you provide a copy of your log located at C:\Users\Public\Documents\SimSig for that session.

Cheers
Craig

That's a tough one. I'll have to go back to the save and play through until the time of the "Error" to see if I can remember what I was doing.

In the meantime, I have attached the Log file with the date/time that is nearest to the "Error time" I hope that it's of some use.

Mantis 39889 for the Dev to have a look at.

If you do come across it again, quickly come and detail it down on this thread. Could be so many reasons as to what triggered it.

Hap.

No luck I'm afraid. There wasn't very much happening at the time and all the action centered on only a handful of trains.
I have just played through to 12.50 and nothing untoward happened.

Sorry that I can't help any further.

I think I saw this error before, when clicking on a berth to get the TT popup just as the train stepped over to the berth in advance.

Thanks
Jamie

Any internal error is a bug in the core code that needs to be fixed. Just because it doesn't seem to have done any harm for you doesn't mean it couldn't cause major problems for someone else. So we like to track them all down and fix them. Some, however, are harder than others.

Thanks for that info Clive.

I was hoping that someone would advise whether or not these errors are important enough to be reported.

The next time that I get an "Error" warning, I'll make a point of noting exactly what I was doing at the time to make it easier for you guys to fathom out what's going on 😀

Just to follow on from the error Bugsy received, I was playing Cornwall today and received an Internal Error. After reading this thread I made a point of taking a snapshot and getting the portion of the log that I think is relevant.

At the time I had just routed 6G05 to Lostwithiel DGL in preparation for its run around, and had the message that the Fowey Branch token had been returned to Lostwithiel SB.

I acknowledged the error and made a save and I've included that too if that helps.
