Lovely Jubbly.

I'm playing the 2023 timetable and had a points failure over an hour ago. I've got 15 trains that are held up and no doubt more to follow.
Should be fun sorting it out 😁

The vast majority of trains there could've been kept running simply by pulling the route for 2A16, being otherwise unaffected by the points failure. In reality, 2A16 would've simply terminated at Kirkgate and formed its back working from there, and likewise for 2A18 behind.

If I pulled the route for 2A16, surely the points failure would still apply, so how could I send trains through it?
It would be the first time that I'd ever successfully manage that.

However. I'll go back to an earlier save and give it a try 😎

The failure will still be there but you could potentially still run services on the mainline. 1L64 may still be stuck if the points have failed in both directions but there's no need to leave the other lines blocked.

If its the branch to down fast then youve only lost 1L64 and 2A16. 2A16 can be shunted onto the up fast behind the GPL and then form its back working starting from Kirkpatrick. The rest of those services should be fine. Anything for Westgate will have to be looped or held further back.
