I suppose it's true to life that the sim doesn't have any CCTV LLC treadle / warnings for approaching trains, but it's easy to miss a train on a sim this large. Can a cheeky request for some warnings be made - even if behind a sim option? (Or even auto-lowering in Extra ARS mode?) Just after the opening of the IECC there was a regular programme of visits from drivers in order to see and understand the scope and workings of the new Centre. There is an anecdotal tale that on one of the visits one of the drivers raised the Hett Mill issue. This led to a debate as the guide insisted that it would never happen and involved the signaller on the panel at the time in the discussion. The discussion was only resolved when the signaller had to go back to the panel take a call from a driver waiting at red at Hett Mill. IIRC the plan was also to take Morpeth, Alnmouth and Tweedmouth into the IECC and there was enough room on the floor to install the relevant panels. It would have required three separate work stations as each of the boxes has a large number of LCs to monitor. Eventually that plan was not taken forward as it was thought at the time that the labour savings would have been minimal and it would have caused a big upheaval for the staff and HR department. “In life, there is always someone out there, who won’t like you, for whatever reason, don’t let the insecurities in their lives affect yours.” – Rashida Rowe Log in to reply The following user said thank you: 2W34 |
