Are you saying that you know for sure there should be flashing yellows there, or are you asking? I'm not familiar with the signals there. Thanks.

Geoff Last night I witnessed signal 147 up slow showing 2 flashing yellows Golbourne Junction meaning a route is set for up slow at Winwick Junction. Signal 146 up fast will show the same at Golbourne if a route is set to the up slow signal 162 at Winwick Junction. Signal 151 up main will show a single flashing yellow. When these flashing yellows were introduced I don't know. Mick Last edited: 01/03/2025 at 11:00 by mickev Reason: None given Log in to reply |

I can verify that this the case. I can't find the information when it was changed but it's been like that for quite a while, info I have: WN146 [FL] or WN147 [SL] - [Y-Y flash] > WN151 [Y -flash] > WN155 [Y - steady until train is on TC], then G aspect if route is set fully to Dallam Jn/Warrington or steady Y-Y if set to Royal Mail Terminals. Following up on this after speaking to a couple of people. So hopefully a fix could be done for it along with 'hopefully' the OHLE between Wigan Station Jn/Crow Nest Jn etc. It's the following. If a train is sat at WN147 [SL] the signal will stay at a steady [Y-Y] with the next signal on the Up Main as WN151 [Y -flash] > WN155 [Y - steady until train is on TC] and then same producer below WN146 [FL] [Y-Y flash] > WN151 [Y -flash] > WN155 [Y - steady until train is on TC], then G aspect if route is set fully to Dallam Jn/Warrington or steady Y-Y if set to Royal Mail Terminals. Mantis 41955 to address the flasshing Yellows. Regarding the electrification, that is something that is not on the cards at the momement.
