Would it be feasible to add a 2nd text field underneath the existing ones which could be used as the 2nd origin point/destination? For example, in Post BR timetables which have a single train at a destination but is formed of two portions eg Harwich International and Ipswich to London or in reverse, Holyhead and Wrexham to London or reverse, Penzance and Plymouth to London or in reverse. Equally, it could apply to BR timetables which had portion working eg South Coast to Edinburgh/Glasgow etc Yes we already have notes which could be used but just wondered if it was feasible to add this to the Misc tab as there's already plenty of space there. What's the problem with simply inputting multiple destinations/origins delimited by slashes or something into the existing input fields?
Two million people attempt to use Birmingham's magnificent rail network every year, with just over a million of them managing to get further than Smethwick. Log in to reply The following user said thank you: jc92 |

As someone whos written timetables with this I think its fine as is. If a train splits en route then a slash or note is sufficient eg London Euston - Manchester/Liverpool or London - Manchester with the note "train splits at Stafford, rear portion to Liverpool" is fine. If the train originates two separate locations the reverse is fine, but in any case, who really cares? As a signaller the concern isn't what the train has done, but what it will do next. From a system perspective the train only retains one origin with the joining portion terminating at the joining location.
