Vitesse, 4 an hour to W.Croydon + 4 an hour to Crystal Palace is a bit of overkill don't you think. I don't know how they are going to resolve this, (dabbadaz or any other 3 bridges / Lon Bridge signallers - are you having probs with this!) Despatch at Norwood plat 1 has always been a little slow!!. Do they have to give you 'the bat' by the cab as they have to with us on 377's ? always fun when there is only one guy on the platform and we have an 8 car! has to give the tip and then walk all the way back to the RA button !! Are you guys not going to be running 8 cars ? Tony Log in to reply |

Vitesse said:Very true, theres currently 8 trains per hour each way between NXG and sydenham, 8 tph too many? What about Liverpool Street when it used to be busy (say 1920): 24tph on the Suburban lines to Bethnal Green (plus what they turned out on the Main & Local lines, another 32tph in all). Can electric trains & power signalling really not cope with 1/3 the traffic of steam kettles (N7 was the standard class) hauling 10 coaches up the 1-in-70 under mechanical signalling with Sykes L&B? Progress???? !!!!! Log in to reply |

FWIW the theoretical throughput between Liverpool Street and Bethnal Green these days is 30tph (2 minute headway) per line, according to the 2010 Rules of the Plan. Parts of the ELL are 1.5 minute headways!Very true, theres currently 8 trains per hour each way between NXG and sydenham, SimSig Boss Log in to reply |
