Hi all, Just a quick question after noticing something strange and talking to someone else about it etc. etc. etc....... Is it possible for the WTT to change, mid-way through an operating period. I ask because I am currently producing a TT for may09-dec09 for LKX and headcode 5H01 appears at Hornsey in the WTT i have... (seems a bit strange as the 222 and the now 180s both were DMUs) which I queried with someone else who found a month/2 months later that they appeared at both Hornsey and Bounds Green. Is this possible? Just for my own peace of mind before I include it. Log in to reply |

Are you talking about a Hull trains 222/180 and a real WTT? First I guess that at least one must be stables overnight in the London area and as First operate Hornsey it would see the obvious place to keep it- but I don't know for sure. If you are saying that the timetable has the train appearing at both Hornsey and Bounds Green; it maybe that both are possibilities and the WTT simply provides the necessary paths and either can be used. If you are asking how to deal with that in SimSig WTT then you can write both as possibilities and then use % probability and a rule to ensure that only one appears but which is on a random basis. WTT's are also know to have errors in them as well.

WTT trains can be superseeded at any time by STP trains (Short Term Planning), which in term can be superceded by VSTP (Very Short Term Planning) trains, so a WTT, whilst remains in place, can have any train within it superceded any number of times.

Well the person who I was discussing this with had access to day specific timetables which is where the added confusion came from. The Bounds Green possibility wasn't written into the WTT that I have but the day specific 1 did for a different date. Best idea probably will be to go for both. Thanks all.
