I am now having severe trouble with my XP OS and am thinking of reformatting the hard drive and reloading XP. But with Windows 7 now out I thought I should consider shifting. Has anyone here tried it yet, and in particular what is the answer to my subject line? I found no relevant references in Simsig Forum or Wiki using Search. TIA Log in to reply |

Hi Mike, This thread - http://www.SimSig.co.uk/index.php?option=com_agora&task=topic&id=154&Itemid=54 - raises the issue. Appears there are no problems with Simsig apart from some of the font issues experienced on XP on older sims. Planotransitophobic! Log in to reply |

I have Windows 7 on a new machine I purchased recently. So far, I have had no problems with running any SimSig. I understand a few people had issues with certain exit triangles but I haven't seen that here.

Thanks folks ;). I've just tried searching for Windows 7 again and get no results despite the thread sloppyjag directed me to existing on the Forum. That of course told me there seems to be the same problems as with Vista!

Yep, running SimSig on Windows 7, XP, MacOSX 10.6 and Wine here, only issues I have are the older sims having font issues, that's present in Vista and Windows 7 however all the refreshed sims have the issue fixed!

Just to add, Windows 7 is acctually the best pieces taken from both XP and Vista, Therefore any programs which run on both, will run on window 7. Hope this is of help to you. Alan. Log in to reply |

That's not true, there are some apps which will run on XP but won't run on Vista/7 (hence higher editions of 7 coming with a virtualised XP mode)

Hello first post on the forum ,but a long time lurker. Just yesterday i got a new pc which is running windows 7 home premium, i installed the SimSig system file, then the simulations, but in most simulations there are ground position light signals missing, these include cambridge and edinburgh, i usually play on a laptop which runs on vista and know that sometimes vista does not show the position lights but there are still there if you click where they should be. i have tried this to no avail, does anyone have any ideas how to get round this. greatly apreciated Justin Log in to reply |

I'm running Win7 Ultimate 64-bit and have no problem with any Simsig I've tried so far.
